Description

Support manages the Building Administration Guide the Continuous Improvements in the MP&L group of all locations. Support the building safety process with the groups Lead 4 associates and support operations team in the warehouse. Supporting CRS and OPS team to establish new tools to raise the maturity level of the group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Introduce Lean tolls into the NABU MP&L organization. Follows business unit policies, procedures, work instructions. Assists with documentation and work instruction creation as required by management.
  • Manage daily activities to ensure building safety activities are being followed, eliminating waste and reducing the risks of accidents.
  • Get to know all assigned finished goods parts, plant locations, production methodologies, related systems, procurement methods, lead-times, and internal warehouse handling procedures to maintain stability.
  • Manage non-value-added Activity versus Value-added Activity. Assists GM with monthly business unit reporting as required by management (such as meeting minutes, P.O. comparison reports to mentioned some).
  • Cognizant of on-hand and in-transit finished goods inventory and departmental inventory plan. Provides instruction regarding part flow and material movement requests to responsible parties when required.
  • Responsible to understand the MP&L organization and provide Value Stream Map.
  • Works with manufacturing plants to make sure they follow our production plans and make sure they ship schedule production and get delivery to the finished goods warehouse group.
  • Formulate a contingency plan based on risk assessment to protect inventory and customer when needed to avoid a major delivery problem.
  • Participate as an active member of any prototype / new model start-up activity on behalf of production planning business unit. Participate in all meetings and act accordingly to meet department objectives.
  • Updates, controls, and internally disseminates finished good design level change information. Participate in Design Engineer meetings to provide planning information for any design change.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or Technical Certificate Required, bachelor’s degree preferred, Business Management/Supply Chain Management or similar study preferred Production and/or material planning and warehouse operations, sequential manufacturing.
  • 8-10 years minimum experience in Lean manufacturing or warehousing scheduling, international business and import experience required including 2 -4 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong mathematical skills required.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Knowledge of sequential manufacturing, scheduling, international business, import experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the effective manufacturing and distribution of finished goods, primarily on Automotive industry.
